My Hungry Husband

This delicious Thai Basil Chicken from The Woks of Life takes only 10 minutes to prepare. Make sure you have your mise en place ready because once you start cooking it goes pretty quickly!

I used 2 garlic cloves instead of 5, added cashews and a generous teaspoon of chilli flakes. Serve it with Jasmine or Bimrie rice and my pickled cucumber salad.

Step-by-Step

Step 1: Chop Chop Chop (2x garlic cloves, handful of cashews leave whole, 1/4 red onion, 1 red chilli or chilli flakes or both)

Step 2: Make sure you have your chicken mince (2x breast ground), soya sauce (2Tb), basil (handful), sugar (2tsp) and water (1/3 cup) ready.

Step 3: Add some oil to a wok and add the garlic, cashews, red onion and chilli.

Step 4: Add the chicken mince, break it up into smaller pieces and cook until brown.

Step 5: Add the soya sauce, sugar, water and cook. Then stir through the basil leaves and you’re done!

So delicious and easy!
