Sriracha Chicken Marinade - My Hungry Husband

My Hungry Husband

I made this marinade for chicken legs but any pieces of chicken would do. You could even use this as a marinade for a Braai (barbecue), just make extra to baste your chicken with while it cooks. It is quite spicy so feel free to adjust the chillies and Sriracha quantity to suit your own tastebuds. I used the leftover marinade on sweet potato wedges and they were sticky and spicy and utterly delicious. Garnish with loads of coriander for some freshness and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tb all gold tomato sauce
  • 1 Tb Sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp ready-made red chilli masala ( or 1 tsp garlic, 1/2 ginger, 1 tsp red chillies)
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • squeeze of lemon, roughly 1 Tb

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients together and coat chicken.
  2. Cook as you wish, but best grilled in oven.
